Salesforce vs. HubSpot

As businesses grow, it becomes harder to manage sales and customer interactions without the help of a customer relationship management (CRM) system. Two popular options in the market are Salesforce and HubSpot. Both systems are feature-rich with extensive customization options, but which one has a better user interface (UI)? We didn't say it was going to be easy, but let's dive in and compare the UI of Salesforce and HubSpot.

Salesforce UI

Salesforce has been around since 1999 and has continuously updated its UI to meet the needs of its diverse user base. The UI is sleek and comprehensive, offering all the features one would need while being easy to navigate. According to a G2 report, Salesforce ranks higher on the ease of use than HubSpot. The UI consists of a left-hand navigation bar, and the main work area updates based on the selected option. The UI presents a wide array of color options to the user to personalize their experience, and it is responsive to all screen sizes, ensuring a coherent experience for all users.

HubSpot UI

HubSpot, founded in 2006, focuses on automation that fits different aspects of digital marketing. Its UI is centered around the navigation bar, featuring mostly circular icons. HubSpot's UI follows the latest design trends, and it includes some of the unique features in comparison to Salesforce, such as easily reachable keyboard shortcuts. However, HubSpot might do with some updates on the performance side. In the 2021 G2 report, Hubspot scored slightly lower than Salesforce when it comes to ease of use.

Which one is better?

Both Salesforce and HubSpot have their respective strengths and weaknesses. Salesforce offers a sturdy, reliable, and responsive UI that is customizable to a wide range of user preferences. On the other hand, HubSpot has followed the latest trends and offers unique features that set it apart from Salesforce. However, HubSpot could improve upon its performance, which hinders the overall user experience.

Ultimately, UI preference is subjective, and it should not be the sole deciding factor when choosing between Salesforce and HubSpot. Companies should put into consideration their business needs, budget, and the technical skills of their team before making a final decision.
